Padel court progress

21 July – The courts are complete and ready for play!

12 July – The metal work for the courts is nearing completion.  Next up is the glass installation and finally the carpet!

5 July – The groundworks are complete and ready for court installation

30 June – The ring beams are complete and tarmacing for underneath the playing surface should now commence.

24 May-  Work resumes to complete the ground works enabling the construction of the two courts. More updates and an anticipated timeline will be provided as soon as this is finalised.

18 May – Having resolved some construction challenges with the contractor, work will recommence on 24 May and proceed through to completion, hopefully in June.

21 March – We have been in discussions with the contractor on the precise location of the courts resulting in a decision to remove the hedgerow and site the courts closer to the boundary.  This gives more room for court access and makes it easier for the foundations to be laid.  While leading to a slight delay, work should now crack on with courts available in April.  Good news is that the courts themselves are ready for installation as soon as the groundworks are complete.

10 February – The site is largely clear and ground levelling is progressing well – hopefully this weather will continue.

2 February – Work has commenced and the ground clearance is well and truly under way.

23 January – We met the groundwork contractor and Padel Tech on site today for the detailed planning meeting.  Groundworks should start next week and, weather permitting, they should be able to hand over to Padel Tech at the beginning of March.  This means we should be playing by April!

6 January – The ground has been broken!

Check out the report of the ceremony on WarwickshireWorld

23 December – Our ‘ground-breaking’ ceremony will be held on 6th January at 2.30pm with our local MP, Jeremy Wright, and town Mayor, Samantha Cooke attending.

15 December
– We have signed the construction contract with Padel Tech with construction due to start in mid January.

The courts will go next to the junior court, with the practice wall being removed to allow room for two courts
